Abstract

La présente invention concerne la préparation de dérivés de thianthrène. On prépare des dérivés de thianthrène en ajoutant du monochlorure de soufre à un excès d'un dérive du benzène en présence de chlorure d'aluminium et en faisant réagir pour former un dérivé de thianthrène sous la forme d'un complexe insoluble de chlorure d'aluminium; en formant une bouillie du complexe dans un liquide organique inerte; en traitant la bouillie avec une base de Lewis, comme de l'ammoniac, pour libérer le dérivé de thianthrène du complexe. Les dérivés de thianthrène obtenus sont utiles notamment comme produits chimiques intermédiaires pour la préparation de colorants.
