Abstract

Procédé de traitement thermique conférant aux pièces en alliage de zirconium une résistance à la corrosion pustuleuse améliorée. Il consiste à déplacer axialement la pièce 12 à travers une bobine de chauffage par induction 10, puis à travers une zone de refroidissement Il écartée de la bobine, à détecter la température de portions successives de la pièce se trouvant dans la bobine pour que chaque portion successive atteigne une température maximale comprise entre 825 degrés C et 1 110 degrés C lorsque la portion se trouve entre la bobine et la zone de refroidissement et à diriger de l'eau à une température de l'ordre de 60 à 80 degrés C sous forme de jets à l'encontre de la surface annulaire externe de portions longitudinales successives tandis qu'elles entrent successivement dans la zone de refroidissement. Application aux traitements de pièces destinées à des réacteurs nucléaires à eau bouillante.
