Abstract

Ballast de stabilisation inductif pour lampe à décharge dans la vapeur de mercure à basse pression, munie d'électrodes préchauffables. Le ballast est muni d'une protection comportant une résistance à coefficient de température posiitf. Dans ce ballast, la partie inductive et la résistance sont isolées thermiquement et électriquement l'une par rapport à l'autre. La résistance est branchée en série avec un starter à lueur dans la branche de préchauffage des électrodes. De ce fait, l'intensité du courant électrique dans le cas d'une lampe qui ne s'amorce pas, est maintenue à une valeur basse qui est sans danger, tandis que ladite résistance, dans le cas d'une lampe qui s'amorce et fonctionne normalement ne perturbe pas ce fonctionnement Application à l'éclairage.
