Abstract

Cet amortisseur pour défense, notamment destiné à une plate-forme de forage travaillant en mer, comprend un cylindre extérieur 28 qui fait saillie horizontalement sur le pied 6, un cylindre intérieur 26 qui est couplé au butoir 10 de la défense et qui est engagé dans l'extrémite ouverte du cylindre extérieur, et un bloc cylindrique annulaire en caoutchouc 30 adhérisé sur la surface interne du cylindre extérieur et sur la surface externe du cylindre intérieur sur une longueur à peu près égale au diamètre du cylindre intérieur et qui présente des surfaces terminales tronconiques. Une plaque d'arrêt 44 est soudée à l'intérieur du cylindre extérieur 28, en retrait par rapport à l'extrémité intérieure du cylindre intérieur 26 d'une distance légèrement supérieure à l'épaisseur du caoutchouc. Cette plaque forme un élément d'absorption d'énergie supplémentaire en cas de choc extrême. La défense comprend avantageusement deux amortisseurs 20 et 22, en haut et en bas.
