Abstract

Four à cuve pour la réduction des minerais de fer. Ce four comprend une zone réductrice et une zone de refroidissement cylindriques communiquantes, une zone de décharge de section elliptique, un élément cylindrique allongé axial s'étendant de la zone de décharge à la zone réductrice avec une partie supérieure conique. Des moyens permettent d'introduire un gaz réducteur chaud, du fond vers le haut avec distribution de ce gaz au centre de la zone réductrice et des moyens pour introduire et distribuer un gaz qui refroidit lesdits moyens de distribution du gaz réducteur. Progression uniforme des éléments solides dans un four.
