Abstract

The installation has storage facilities for milk powder and hot water and means for bringing these together in the correct proportions in a mixing bowl. The upper and lower levels of prod. in the m ixing bowl are automatically detected and controlled. The installation is equipped to ensure that the liq. food has at least started to ferment before being swallowed by an animal. The equipment pref. takes the form of a holding capacity for the reconstituted liq. food which is not discharged until it has been held long enough to start fermenting. The prefementation makes the food easier to digest for animals not yet weaned.
