Abstract

Medicaments for the restoration of conjunctive tissue contain a triphenolic derivative. The triphenolic deriv. is usually extracted from a plant. It may, e.g. be a tannin or a tannoid. In an example, a soln. for percutaneous treatment contained 6g liquid extract of Agrimonia eupatoria, 1 ml 50% aqueous propylene glycol, and 0.05 ml sodium dioctyl sulphosuccinate aq. alcoholic soln. Eliminates marks and discoloration on the skin due to scars and stretching, and also restores arterial and vacular elasticity in cases of arteriosclerosis.
