Abstract

A luggage and case rack for railway passenger vehicles, comprises end pieces (1), one or more intermediate pieces (2), front and rear bars (3, 4) fitted onto the end and intermediate pieces (1, 2) and a grille (5) forming the supporting part for the luggage. The grille (5) is formed by two H-section members (8) received in recesses in the front and rear bars (3, 4), and by rectangular or circular section cross bars (9) whose ends are secured in holes in the members (8). The end and intermediate pieces (1, 2) are made of aluminium alloy, and have projections (6) which are received in spaces (7) in the front and rear bars (3, 4).
