Abstract
L'invention décrit un procédé pour produire un isomère choisi d'alkylaromatiques en C 8 à partir d'une alimentation contenant cet isomère en une concentration inférieure à celle de l'équilibre et ayant une basse concentration en des naphtènes en C8 . On met tout d'abord l'alimentation en contact avec un catalyseur Pt-halogène, dans des conditions d'isomérisation à basse température, pour former un mélange intermédiaire contenant une quantité importante de naphtènes en Cs et un mélange d'alkylaromatiques en C8 partiellement isomérisés ; on met ensuite ce mélange intermédiaire au contact d'un autre catalyseur Pt-halogène dans des conditions de déshydrogénation à température plus élevée pour former un mélange final ayant une très faible teneur en naphtènes et une concentration essentiellement voisine de l'équilibre pour l'isomère choisi, que l'on sépare et recueille Le procédé peut notamment s'appliquer à la récupération du para-xylène à partir d'un courant de reformage catalytique de naphta
