Dans un dispositif de mesure à vis et écrou, on monte, à proximité de la vis, deux têtes palpeuses, dans lesquelles on induit une fréquence correspondant au multiple du nombre de rotations et de spires, la phase des deux tensions changeant de 360 degrés chaque fois que les têtes se décalent d'un pas de la vis. c. Ce dispositif donne des mesures d'une très grande précision et d'une très grande fiabilité.
