Abstract

L'invention décrit un fluide d'espacement à grande stabilité et à grande densité, à injecter dans des puits de pétrole, l'obtention du fluide et son application. Le fluide contient des agents facilement disponibles pour donner du poids, comme du carbonate de calcium et du carbonate de fer, en dispersion dans de l'eau à l'aide d'un polymère donnant de la viscosité, un sel qui inhibe le gonflement de l'argile, un agent primaire sulfone de dispersion et un agent secondaire de dispersion qui est un amide d'acide gras. On peut également utiliser des agents classiques à grande densité pour alourdir le fluide. Le fluide est stable entre 0 degrés et 150 degrés C pendant des périodes prolongées de temps; sa masse volumique se situe entre 1,32 et 2,11 kg/dm**3. Injecté dans un puits, il permet de maintenir sur la formation souterraine et sans l'endommager une pression hydrostatique supérieure à la pression exercée par le fluide existant dans la formation.
