Abstract

L'invention concerne une électrode composite pour un four à arc. Une électrode composite selon l'invention comporte une partie supérieure longue permanente 12 avec une paroi extérieure 22 et une paroi intérieure 24 pour établir un passage ascendant annulaire 26 entre un chapeau à double paroi 28, 30, le circuit pour le réfrigérant comportant une entrée 56, un tube vertical 37 se terminant par une ouverture 38 d'une cloison horizontale 36, et un passage annulaire 42 vers le passage annulaire 26 et une sortie 34, l'élément supérieur étant métallique et comportant un élément taraudé 4 pour la fixation d'une électrode en graphite 14 au moyen d'un raccord en graphite 59, et l'intérieur de l'élément supérieur étant vide et communiquant avec l'atmosphère pour l'ouverture 67. Une électrode composite selon l'invention convient en particulier pour un four à arc pour l'élaboration de l'acier.
