Abstract
Ce projectile adapté pour disperser une charge telle qu'un matériau émetteur de lumière ou producteur de fumée ou bien un matériau pour réfléchir des ondes radar (chaff) comprend un volume cylindrique à l'intérieur du projectile, destiné à recevoir la charge 5. Cette charge est adaptée pour être éjectée au moyen d'une charge éjectrice ou d'un dispositif mécanique à travers une ouverture ménagée à l'arrière du projectile et libérée par l'éjection ou la rupture d'un fond 6. Une partie de l'enveloppe du projectile qui peut être réalisée en acier a été remplacée par un fourreau 8 en métal léger et des précautions particulières sont prises pour fixer le fourreau à l'enveloppe. Un procédé de fabrication de ce projectile consiste à réaliser le fourreau à l'intérieur de l'enveloppe par coulée centrifuge
