Dans l'appareil selon l'invention, on assure la circulation et la recirculation de la liqueur dans une zone de croissance de bactéries comprenant des disques de milieux filtrants 10 fixés sur des arbres 12 de manière à être espacés et à se chevaucher partiellement Ces milieux filtrants sont le siège de cultures de bactéries et sont entraînés en rotation par l'intermédiaire de pignons 14 et 16 de manière que des agglomérations de bactéries ne viennent pas bloquer la circulation dans les espaces séparant les milieux filtrants comme c'était le cas dans les appareils classiques De plus un meilleur contact est assuré entre les bactéries et les matières résiduaires. Applications : traitement des liqueurs et eaux résiduaires.
