Abstract

The rotating vane type compressor is used in refrigerating systems, especially in closed circuit systems which use a gas. This compressor has very low fluctuations at the outlet. No opening and closing outlet valve is necessary and the compressor is not sensitive to damage due to penetration of liquid into the inlet. The ends of the vanes move along a noncircular stator inner wall. This movement ensures a continuous or progressive reduction of the compression rate over the whole compression process. The vanes project radially from the rotor and the vanes form several moving cells for a compressible fluid. The compression rate in each cell forms decreases perf. continuously when a particular cell moves from the inlet vicinity to the vicinity of the outlets.
