Abstract

A device for the mechanised planting of bulbs, tubers and seeds is attached to a motor cultivator (1) and comprises a shore (3) for opening a furrow and two members (4) for closing it. The wheel (5) is free on its shaft, but the wheel (6) drives a chain (8) which transmits its movement to a further chain (9) driving an endless belt conveyor (10). The machine operator takes a plant from the store (7) and places it on the conveyor (0) which delivers it to a depositor tube (11). The plant is aligned by two lateral guides (12). The device allows the operator to work without bending down and to obtain regular spacing in a single pass.
