Abstract

The pneumatic gear change assembly consists of a check valve whose moving part is actuated each time the clutch pedal is depressed. The valve makes a connection between a compressed air source and the gear change servo motors. The reduction gear is actuated by a piston cylinder assembly whose pressure chambers are alternatively supplied by two electro magnetic check valves. The electromagnetic windings are selected by a manual switch and current is supplied via the clutch pedal linked cam follower. The check valves are connected to the main check valves via a pressure reduction valve.
