Abstract

The machine comprises a hopper for the powdered material which feeds a mixing column, which is also supplied with water. The mixing column has a drive motor at the top to rotate all the internal moving parts. The mixing column is joined, through a unit at its base, with a pump. This pump is parallel to the mixing column so that the paste product is subjected to a directional change of 180 degrees between mixer and pump. The speed of rotation of the mixer and pump can be adjusted independently of each other, thereby offering a variety of combinations which can be suited to the products used. The arrangement of the pump relative to the mixing column and the resultant directional change results in an increase in the mixing time and also ensures that the pump only receives a quantity of paste corresponding to its suction capacity, thus eliminating any risk of overloading.
