Abstract

The portable box folding and gluing machine is for boxes from 16 to 730 mm. It has six feed shafts, the first and last of which are rapidly removable. The first has a pulley driving a secondary shaft in the opposite direction, equipped with nylon brushes cleaning the driving belts of printing powder. The sixth has a variable-speed pulley to aid separation of the boxes from each other. Four transporter rollers and folding hocks form the boxes into shape. A shaft passing through the machine drives the top gluing discs by pulleys and pinions, allowing the discs to be mounted at any desired position. Pulleys and belts for the folding and gluing mechanism are easily interchangeable to suit different box dimensions.
