Abstract
Rapid testing of manufactured parts for sealing against leakage is performed manually or automatically using a reference capacity filled with gas at high pressure. Measurement is made of flow between the reference and part under test before total balance has been achieved. A reference capacity (4) is connected to a network under pressure (6) through a valve (10) and pressure limiter (9) fitted with a manometer. A part under test (5) is filled very rapidly to the same pressure from the network via a pressure limiter (11) fitted with manometer and valve (1). The reference capacity is then connected to the test piece via a valve (2) and a valve (3) in parallel with a flow meter (12) on which leakage is measured.
