Abstract

Procédé de purification d'un polymère d'oléfine obtenu en suspension dans un diluant organique inerte, comprenant les étapes habituelles de séparation du milieu de polymérisation et de dégazage du polymère à l'abri de l'air, caracterisé en ce que le polymère dégazé est soumis à une étape de désactivation consistant à le mettre et maintenir en suspension à une température de 30 à 80 degrés C dans un mélange d'alcool aliphatique et d'hydrocarbure additionné d'un composé choisi parmi les chlorures d'acide et les chlorures d'alkyle, en ce que le polymère désactivé est ensuite séparé de ladite suspension et lavé au moins une fois par un alcool aliphatique et/ou un hydrocarbure
