Abstract

The independent monitoring unit is for deep freezers, cold rooms etc., indicating any abnormal rise in temp. A temp. control thermostat is supplied directly from the mains or batteries, mounted on the outside, with its head inside the deep freezer etc. This initiates one or more audible alarms or lamps mounted on it, and an interrupter or other cut-out switch is connected in series with the alarms, giving momentary interruption of them at intervals until the freezer resumes normal operation. The thermostat can have a quick-action mounting, securing it detachably or permanently to the freezer. The alarms and interrupter can be mounted together in a housing separate from the freezer.
