Abstract

Drum-type washing machine comprises a tube in two parts held together by a joint-covering clamp (101) in the form of an open ring of wide-mouthed U-shaped cross-section. At one end of the ring is a quadrant plate (103, 104) with hooked elements, and at the other end are holes (114) for receiving the hooked elements on closure of the clamp. The novel feature is that the quadrant plate consists of two parts each in the form of an angle iron, with the hooks on one arm of the angle iron. In the other arm is a hole for passage of a bolt (109) which connects the holes in the two parts and holds the two parts apart at an adjustable distance.
