Abstract

The bottle corking machine has a housing guiding the various working parts, a cork grip, and a punch driving the cork home. A first lever actuates the grip mechanism, and preferably pivots in the housing. A second lever, also pivoting in the housing, carries the punch mechanism at its free end, and works with a pin mounted on a rotary driving member. This pin also acts against the first lever, and the actuator is provided for the driving member. The pin may be eccentrically mounted on the driving member, while there is a ramp face on the first lever having a straight portion against which the pin initially acts.
