Abstract

The mobile engine-driven garden refuse shredder is designed to transport pneumatically the refuse to the cutter and to discharge the shredded refuse to the compost heap or into a lorry. The rotor consists of several discs (15) keyed at a distance onto a shaft (17). The discs are fitted on their perimeters with a number of impact elements (19) hinged on the pivots (20). The gaps between two adjacent discs are fitted with radial vanes (23) which during the operation produce a blower action and serve to transport pneumatically the shredded material via transformation piece (12) to a place of storage or for further transport by lorry. The casing (7) to which the exit tunnel (12) is connected has a feed opening (9) to which a hopper (10) can be connected. The hopper can be fitted with an airtight lid (24) to which a suction hose (25) with suction nozzle (26) can be attached for the collection of the refuse directly from the ground.
