Abstract

The controller has a transistor controlling the generator field winding current. There is a main resistor voltage divider (10,12) for the generator output voltage and a main Zener diode (11) which taps the voltage from the divider and controls the field current (7) controlling transistor. A semiconductor component is connected in parallel with the voltage divider resistor, whose conducting or blocked state changes the voltage collected from the Zener diode. There is an auxiliary generator voltage divider and an auxiliary Zener diode which taps off the voltage from the divider and makes conducting or blocks the semiconductor components.
