Abstract

The burner has a pilot light positioned adjacent. The outlet of a fuel supply line. An electromagnet holds a pilot light gas supply valve lpen and controls a thermal relay which operates a liquid fuel supply device for the burner. On closing a water level responsive switch and only if the pilot light is operating the thermal relay allows a progressive supply of oil to the burner. At the end of the cycle the themal relay cuts off the supply of gas. A thermocouple is responsive to the burner operation to retain the electromagnet in a set condition. On opening the water level responsive switch the thermal relay is operated to allow the flow of gas to the pilot light. The gas igniter on contact with the burner flame.
