Abstract

The liquid fuel emergency shut-off is fitted to boilers and similar installations to automatically cut off the fuel supply in the event of a fire. The boiler fuel line (4) is fitted with an automatic stop valve (3), operated by a weighted arm or a spring This is held open by an attached cord (2), this passing over pulleys to run over the boiler casing at the most likely fire outbreak point. Close to the same point, the cord is attached to the burner unit housing using a low metling point fusible element (1). An adjuster (5) is fitted to tension to arrangement.
