Abstract

A replacement tip for the frame side arm of a pair of spectacles is claimed (I) a moulded plastic element which is fit over the end of a frame side arm gaving a recess into which the end is fitted. The recess comprises a cylindrical outer portion and a coaxial conical inner portion tapering away from the outer portion. The tip is thin-walled and is of constant thickness over the length of the outer portion of the recess. The thin-walled portion is resiliently deformable by the push-fit insertion of the end of the frame side arm, thereby holding the end within the recess solely by the interference fit.
