Abstract

The inclination of a beam w.r.t. the horizontal is set mechanically and the inclination is indicated numerically for both directions of inclination. The beam is used to determine inclination for a luminous beam generator for alignment. A beam (30) with two arms (34, 35) is rotated about an axis (31) and is limited by a stop (37, 65) for the two directions on a lever (38, 66). The levers are moved by threaded shafts (39, 67) with knurled knobs (47). A spirit level (33) enables the horizontal position to be determined where the counter displays (70, 64) for two counters (48, 69) can be set to zero. Rotation of knobs on the threaded shafts enables required inclination to be set.
