Abstract

Tunnel or heading tubbing ring erector for shield drivages comprises a rotary ring erector fitted with grabs extending and retracting in the radial sense. The erector has an opening at the periphery for the grabs which can ride for enough into the opening to ensure that the tubbing ring segment lies within the opening. The grab should pref. be adapted to the cross-section provided by the opening in the erector. The erector should be designed as a drum whose axial dimension exceeds the width of the tubbings being handled. Guide arms should be fitted to opposite ends of the grab and guided inside the erector itself.
