Abstract

The system uses a luminous strip composed of n electro-luminescent elements which are in alignment and equally spaced from each other. The system has also a converter for the voltage corresponding to the value to be displayed. The display is produced during an interval of time proportional to this voltage. The converter has a first timer which provides first periodic pulses. The system has a variable ramp signal periodic generator. The ramp signal being synchronised to a linear time function between the predetermined voltage levels.
