Abstract

Protective receptacle of tape cassette has flat box for cassette and lid hinged to box. The cassette is seated in the box of a generally parallel piped form with two parallel main sides and vertical narrow sides. A wall (28) is positioned parallel to the main sides of the box and is provided with projections which engage in the hubs of the cassette. The wall (28) is attached to one of the long narrow sides (27) which is hinged at its base (31) forming an opening for the box. The box is longer than the cassette to accommodate the diagonal length of the cassette as it pivots about a corner when the box is opened.
