Abstract
A container for a fluid photographic processing material contg. aromatic alcohol utilises a sealing compsn. comprising a crosslinked homopolymer of a cpd. (I), (where R1 is H, 1-4C monovalent aliphatic gp. or Ph; R" is H or 1-2C monovalent aliphatic gp.; n=0-3). The polymer, prior to being crosslinked, has an inherent viscosity in benzene of 0.1-1 as measured at a concn. of 0.25 g/decilitre at 25 degrees C. The seal formed is resistant to changes in burst strength during storage. The compsns. form excellent relatively weak seals for the bursting edge seals of pods contg. photographic developer, e.g. for in-camera film development. The seals are insoluble in aromatic alcohol, and remain low strength over a wide temp. range.
