Abstract

The directional mounting for an antenna is used for satellite telecommunicator system. The construction provides uniform flexible deflection of the antenna reflector. The mounting has a frame (2) onto which is mounted the reflector dish (1). It has a spindle (28) which carries the radial supports (29) for the reflector. The frame (2) is carried at its apex (3) by a triangular structure. The support structure has a triangular base (10) resting on three concrete bases (8, 8a, 8b). At the top of the triangle (11, 12), is a base plate (13) onto which is fitted a double articulated joint (14). This joint (14) allows the aerial to pivot about two axes (XX, YY) in addition to pivoting about the reflector axis (ZZ). Two jacks (31) and a motor drive rotate the aerial.
