Abstract

The collector has a casing (3) with an insulating base (7). It is closed at the top by two sheets (5, 6) of glass. A metal plate (8) is placed on the base with a corrugated plate (15) above it to form an undulating waterway between the two plates. The upper plate (15) has a series of holes (17). Through each of these there is fixed a tube (16a, 16b) which is open at one end and closed at the other. The open end is inside the plate within the waterway and the tube projects vertically from the plate into the air space behind the transparent cover with the closed end at the top.
