Abstract

A refrigerator or deep freeze unit is designed to stand in a corner of a kitchen, between two other units, in a space which is normally wasted due to access problems. For this reason, the unit has a top which swings up for access to the interior. The unit is square in plan view, and has an air circulation grid along one rear edge. This grid (8) covers a sloping trough shaped portion, designed so that the air flow is not blocked by other adjacent members which may overlap it. The grid has a pocket (13) for location of controls. The lid is fitted with special double hinge. The top can be zinc covered, and the feet are height adjustable.
