Abstract

Acoustic oscillation pulses are periodically transmitted into the material through the container wall at a right angle to the latter. Acoustic signals which have passed through the wall are received and converted into an electric signal which carries information about the material properties. Opposite polarity envelopes of pulse reverberation generated between the container wall outer surface and the material are used as the acoustic signals. These envelopes are received in the area of the acoustic oscillation pulse application.
