Abstract

A hydraulically operated sun shield is used for the windscreen of a car. It consists of a thin panel, applied to the windscreen which fills with coloured liquid under the action of a pump. Two such panels are fitted to a windscreen. The interior of the panel is angled and there is an internal pipe with a hole to ensure aeration. This leads to a ferrule with three holes, two for filling and emptying and one for aeration. This enables pipes to be connected externally to the pumps and liquid reservoir. The pumps are controlled by a switch.
