Abstract

The transporter has two compartments, one for cold meals and one for hot, and is on wheels. The dishes containing hot meals are stacked in a wire rack which is placed inside the compartment. On arrival at their destination, the rack is removed from the compartment and placed in an oven for heating up. This is done by means of a separate trolley, comprising an L-shaped frame fitted with wheels. The platform on this trolley has articulated links connected to a foot pedal this being pushed down to raise the platform and lift the rack out of the compartment.
