Abstract

The silos are of large dimensions and comprise a cylindrical upper portion for storage. This fits onto a supporting base and a discharge outlet in the form of a funnel is provided. The top may be part of the cylindrical body, or a separate cover. When manufactured, all parts are made slightly different in diameter, in graduated steps. A group of silos is packed for transportation by nesting the smaller diameter parts inside those of larger diameter. Packing strips prevent sticking and jamming and all parts are bolted together on site.
