Abstract

The trestle consists of two A-frames joined by longitudinal bars (2), the A-frames comprising two uprights (3) and crossbars (4, 5, 6), the uprights having footplates (7) and possibly wheels. The formers (9) of the rolls of material rest in hooks (8) which are clipped to the uprights. Each hook is provided with a sole piece (14) with claws (12) which fit into perforations (10) provided in at least one pair of uprights. These perforated uprights may be made from commercial perforated profiles used for heavy shelving. The sole piece is a U-section which fits snugly over the upright. The longitudinal bars also have claws (13) at the ends, which clip into the perforations on the uprights, meaning that the trestle can be easily assembled without any fixing.
