Abstract

In the formation of spherical gel particles of uniform dimensions from a sol. by the known technique of passing a sol. through a capillary or small orifice into a stream of a dehydrating organic propellant fluid which carries away the spherical sol. particles so formed as a dispersion of sol droplets and converts these to spherical gel particles particularly for further dehydration as nuclear fuel particles the sol. is vibrated before it is converted to droplets, at a frequency corresponding to the frequency of drop formation without vibration.
