Abstract

The fastener (1) is used for blind fixing of cladding suspended from back supports. It comprises a cylindrical body (8) made from plastic to prevent heat bridging. At one end is a tapped hole for a suitable fixing stud (9), provided with a spanner flats (29). The front end has two diametrically opposite rebates (11) cut along the length of the body. These house wings (6) folded against the sides of the body and flush with it. The lower ebds of the wings pivot (14, 15) in the body and are spring loaded (19) to open outwards and grip behind the panel after being pushed through a hold in it.
