Abstract

The machine tool head is flanged to receive different tooling. The peripherally slotted flange adjusts angularly to the head. Axial movement wrt the head disengages the flange from the head and a sleeve engages the spindle drive for indexing setting. Between the head and spindle a sleeve carries a tool flange. An eccentric actuated jaw positions the sleeve axially. Air pressure in a chamber separates a flange slotting from the head interlocking tongue. Sleeve axial travel engages driving ring face teeth with the spindle driving bush teeth, to rotate the flange.
