The leading end of the screw transmits thrust and movement to the mobile jaw (2) or elevator platform, and is equipped with a washer (6). The washer (6) serves both to transmit load to the mobile jaw (2) and to promote an anti-rotational friction at the mobile jaw interface. The vice arrangement may envisage the ball race (5) mounted on an extension of the static jaw (1) and traversed by the screw (4).
