Abstract

The device is used to compensate the freqneucy drift caused by the temperature variations in a filter employing a resonance line, open at one or both ends. The inner line conductor has an internal axial pin (4), one end of which is solid with the inner conductor. A second pin of dielectric material is inserted within the first pin and fixed to it adjacent the open end of the line. The second pin supports a dielectric washer (5) acting as the terminal capacitance for the line. The first pin (4) is made from a material which has a coefficient of expansion above that of the line itself.
