Abstract

The safety clamp is used when sawing wood on a machine with a circular saw. It holds the wood firmly in position and is traversed past the saw by pushing on a handle, the operator's hands being kept clear. It comprises two arms made from flat bar and having one short end bent down at 90 deg.. These are welded onto a long bush which slides along a guide bar bolted onto the side of the machine. a slot in each long side locates the clamp for the wood. This is adjustable along the slots, being tightened by wing nuts.
