Abstract

The clamp is for sealed holding of a tube in the opening in a chamber wall through which flows a fluid under pressure. The tubes are fitted directly on site with good sealing effect manually by a simple tool. The tubes can be dismantled individually. This arrangement is used in heat exchangers for air cooling systems using water for cooling. A sleeve (7) of elastic material is placed around a tube end and inserted into opening (6). The sleeve is longer than the plate (3) thickness. The diameters are such that the sleeve is firmly held in the plate and on the tube end. The sleeve has trapping flanges (8) on both ends for holding it in the plate bore.
