Abstract

The chain-and-bucket elevator has two driving wheels fixed to the same shaft and spaced apart, engaging with round-link chains running round guide wheels opposite the driving wheels. There is a positive coupling between each driving wheel (1, 1a) and its respective chain (5), the wheel having in the periphery a wedge-shaped radial groove accommodating two clamping rings rotating on their own axis and movable in relation to each other. The external dia. of the rings is greater than the internal diameter of the groove. The rings form between them on the outside a central groove (11) clamping the chain links between them.
